Panchem

Panchem is based in Udyog Mandir No. 1, which is over in Mahim West. We are in unit 319/A on Pitamber Lane. It’s an old industrial sort of area, and you can feel the history of the place when you walk through the gates. The building has that specific Mumbai feel to it—busy, a bit worn down, but very functional. We’ve been here for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit around us. Our space is usually a bit of a mess with samples and documents scattered around. We don't bother much with decorating because we’re too busy actually working. Pitamber Lane can be a bit of a squeeze for cars, but we like the location. It’s close to the station and easy enough for people to find once they know the landmark. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to tell us how to sound professional. We just talk to people like we’re talking to our neighbors. The air here smells a bit like the sea sometimes when the wind is right. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily grind. It’s hard work, and the office gets pretty warm in the summer months, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We’re just a bunch of people trying to make a living and doing it honestly without any big promises. We’ve been in this same spot for years and plan to stay for many more.
