Panam Engineers

Being in Andheri East means you’re always dealing with the Sahar Road traffic. Our office is up on the second floor of the Jaisingh Business Centre. It’s a busy building with a lot of different companies, so the stairs and the lift are always occupied. Panam Engineers is tucked away in room 203. It’s not a very big space, but we make it work with the desks pushed close together. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints or staring at computer screens. The area around Parsiwada has changed quite a bit over the years, but it’s still got that busy, industrial feel to it. There’s a small shop nearby where we usually get our lunch or a quick snack when we can't step away for long. The office is usually filled with the sound of someone talking on the phone or the hum of the air conditioner trying to keep up with the Mumbai heat. We don’t have any polished slogans or a fancy receptionist. It’s just a group of us who know a lot about engineering and not much about being corporate. We keep our tools and papers in piles that only we understand. Some days the rain makes the commute a nightmare, but we still make it in. It’s a practical place for practical work. Nothing more, nothing less. We just focus on the job at hand and try to stay out of the midday sun while we finish the day.
