Pam Pac Machiens P. Ltd. is situated at 127 in the Kandivali Industrial Estate, specifically in the Charkop area of Kandivali. Being in an industrial estate means it’s always loud with the sound of machinery and trucks. Our unit is just one of many in this big complex. We have some heavy equipment inside and the floor is concrete, which makes sense for the kind of work we do. It’s a bit greasy and metallic-smelling in there, but that’s just how a machine shop is. We’ve been in Charkop for years, and we know most of the other business owners nearby. The office part is just a small partitioned area with a couple of old computers and some stacks of blueprints. We don't have any polished floors or fancy art on the walls. It’s a place for hard work, and that shows. The rain can get pretty loud on the metal roof during the monsoon season. We just keep our heads down and focus on the machines. There is a lot of dust because of all the construction and activity in the estate, so we are always cleaning off the desks. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of our day is spent on the shop floor making sure everything is running right. It’s a tough environment but it’s what we know.
