Palmer Engineers (India) Private Limited

Our unit is at Laghu Udyog Kendra on I. B. Patel Road in Goregaon East. It’s a typical industrial estate setup. We are in Unit C-12. We do engineering stuff, mostly technical parts and assembly work. It’s not a very big place. We have a few desks in the front and the machines in the back. The road outside is always busy with tempos and rickshaws. We started this a while back. It’s just us doing the daily grind. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Mumbai. We just want to make sure the parts we send out are okay. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big order to finish. The tea boy comes around twice a day and that’s our main break. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just answer the phone and talk to whoever needs work done. The building is a bit grey and the stairs are steep. It’s a practical place for practical work. We know our neighbors and we help each other out with tools sometimes. Just a small engineering firm trying to keep things moving in Goregaon. We’ve been in this unit for a long time and we’re used to how things work around here. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done and keeps us busy. We just keep our heads down and focus on the machines.
