Pahelwan Bone Setter

We've been here at P-9 on Dr E Moses Road for a long time now. Most people find us because they are looking for the 165 bus stop and see us tucked right behind it. It's a busy spot in Worli, especially with the 4 Season Hotel right across the street. We mostly deal with people who come in with twisted ankles or some old pain in their back that won't go away. It’s not a fancy hospital setup, just a simple place where we do our work. People walk in, sometimes hobbling, and we try to see what's wrong with the bone or the joint. The traffic outside is always loud, but inside we just focus on the patient sitting on the bench. Sometimes it gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone is finishing work. We use traditional ways that have been passed down. If you're coming from the main road, just look for the hotel and then cross over. Usually, someone is outside waiting their turn. It's a small space, so you might have to wait a bit if there are many people before you. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us here every day. We see kids who fell while playing and older folks whose knees are acting up because of the rain. It’s a basic routine. We open up, clean the floors, and start seeing whoever shows up for help.
