The Bone And Joint Clinic is located over in Chembur, right near the Maharana Hotel on S.T. Road. Being part of the Chirayu Healthcare Rajasthan CHS means we have a lot of regular faces coming through the doors. Mumbai weather is what it is, so the fan is almost always on full blast to keep the air moving in the rooms. Outside, the road is always loud with rickshaws and people heading toward the hotel for lunch. Our clinic isn't very large, but we’ve arranged the benches to fit as many people as possible without it feeling too cramped. The floor tiles are that old grey speckled kind you see in a lot of buildings around here. Every morning, the first thing I do is check the schedule and hope the computer doesn’t take forever to boot up. We deal with a lot of joint stuff, mostly just helping people get through their daily routines without too much trouble. Sometimes the smell of food from the nearby stalls drifts in, which makes us all hungry around noon. It’s a busy spot, and sometimes the waiting room gets a bit noisy when the local families come in together. We just try to keep things simple and get the work done. It’s not a fancy setup, but it’s where we spend most of our waking hours. Just a local clinic doing its thing on S.T. Road. It gets dusty, but we keep on.
