Packs & packaging

Our place, Packs & packaging, is over at 205/311 Lower Parel. Being near Piramal Hospital makes it easy to give people directions when they are coming over for the first time. Lower Parel has changed so much with all the new buildings, but we are still here doing our thing with boxes and wraps. It gets pretty dusty in the workshop with all the cardboard around. We spend our hours measuring things and making sure the sizes are right. It’s not a quiet job because of the machines and the tape dispensers constantly making noise. I started helping out here when I was younger and just stayed on. We get all sorts of requests, some small and some quite large. We don't have a big front office or a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find one of us covered in bits of paper or tape. The area is always crowded, so finding parking for deliveries is a struggle every single day. We just make do with what we have. Most of our neighbors are also small businesses, so we all know each other. Sometimes we share a snack or talk about the local news. It’s a busy life but it keeps us moving. We don't really have a website that works well, we mostly just talk to people face to face or on the phone.
