P Raja Gopalan

I’ve been operating out of Matunga East for quite some time now. My place is at 9/421, which is a quiet spot in a busy part of the city. P Raja Gopalan isn't a big company with a lot of staff or a marketing budget. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers keeping things moving throughout the week. Matunga is a great area, full of life and good food, so I’m lucky to be based here. My office is a bit old-fashioned, I suppose. I still keep a lot of physical files and books around because that’s what I’m comfortable with. I’ve never seen the need for a glass-and-steel office when this room works just fine. Most days are spent meeting with people or finishing up reports on my desk. I don't go in for big marketing or flashy presentations. I think if you do your work well, people will find you. That’s how it’s been for me since the beginning. The building is older, so there’s always something that needs a bit of fixing, but it has character that new places lack. I like the routine of coming in every morning and seeing the same faces on the street. It’s a very local way of doing business. I’m not trying to change the world or anything, just trying to provide a good service to those who need it. It’s straightforward work and that’s the way I like it.
