P Kothari & Sons

P Kothari & Sons is located at 4D Upper Ground on Station Road in Malad West. Being so close to the station means the area is constantly moving. There is a never-ending stream of people walking past our door. Our shop is just up a small flight of stairs since we are on the upper ground level. We have been here for a long time, and the business has been in the family for generations. We deal mostly with fabrics and clothing materials, so the shop is filled with rolls of cloth stacked from the floor to the ceiling. It smells like fresh cotton and sometimes a bit of dust. We don't have any big marketing slogans or fancy displays. The shop is just a place where we work and serve the people who come in. Most of the day is spent measuring fabric and talking to customers about what they need for their tailoring. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are always busy. Malad is a noisy place, and the heat can get a bit much in the afternoons, but we have our fans running. We know most of the other shopkeepers on Station Road, so it feels like a little community. We open up in the morning and stay until the evening commute starts to thin out. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we just keep going day after day.
