P D Hinduja National Hospital And Med

The P D Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre is situated right on Veer Savarkar Marg in the Mahim area. It’s a large facility and we have a lot of different things happening under one roof. Besides the usual hospital work, there is a lot of research and data being handled in certain sections. I work in a part where we see a lot of people every day. The morning shift starts early, usually before the sun is fully up, and the city traffic is already starting to build up outside. Mahim is a busy neighborhood, and being on this main road means we see everything that goes on. Inside, we try to stay focused on the tasks at hand. There are a lot of meetings and charts to go over. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold, so we usually have a sweater or a jacket nearby. We don't really have a lot of bells and whistles in the staff areas; it’s all very practical and focused on the job. The lobby is usually full of people waiting, and we try to move them through the system as efficiently as we can. It’s a lot of coordination between different teams. We just want to make sure the day ends with all the tasks completed. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do every day here in Mahim.
