P D Hinduja Hospital

We are located on Veer Savarkar Marg in Mahim West. This is P D Hinduja Hospital, and if you have ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how the traffic can get. It is a very big building and there is always something going on. I spend most of my day walking back and forth between different floors. The elevators are always busy, so sometimes it’s just faster to take the stairs if you aren't going too far up. From some of the windows, you can catch a glimpse of the area around Mahim, which is nice when things get stressful. It’s a very busy environment with a lot of staff members and even more patients. We don't have much time for sitting around. The cafeteria gets really crowded at lunchtime, so most of us just eat quickly whenever we get a chance. There are people from all walks of life coming through these doors every hour of the day. It’s a serious place, but you see a lot of kindness between the staff and the families. We try to keep things as orderly as possible, even when it feels like a thousand things are happening at once. The equipment is updated quite often, but the spirit of the place stays the same. It’s just a big, working hospital doing its thing in the middle of a very busy city.
