Original Chung Fa Restaurant

We’ve been at 133 Aziz Building for a long time. It’s on Tardeo Road in Mumbai. You can find us right opposite the Bachoo Motorcycles shop. Everyone in Tardeo knows that spot. Our restaurant is one of those old-school Chinese places that has been around forever. We don't have modern furniture or anything fancy. It’s just the same tables and chairs we've had for years. I grew up in this area and now I run the place with my family. Mumbai is always moving fast outside, but inside here, things feel a bit slower. We serve the kind of food that people have eaten for generations. It’s a bit cramped when it gets full, but people don't seem to mind. They like the atmosphere and the smells from the kitchen. I'm usually at the cash box near the door. The kitchen is in the back and it's always noisy with the wok hitting the flame and the chefs shouting orders. We don't do much advertising at all. People find us by word of mouth or they just see the sign while walking down Tardeo Road. It’s a lot of history in this building. We've seen shops come and go on this street, but we are still here. It’s just a regular restaurant doing its thing every day. No bells and whistles. Just honest food and a place to sit. We try to be nice to everyone who walks in.
