Oriental Veneer Products Ltd. is located at number 25 in the Mohammedi Lakda Bazar. This is on Maulana Shaukatali Road in the Grant Road area, which is a very old and famous part of the city. The whole street is dedicated to timber and wood products, so there is always the sound of saws and the smell of fresh wood. Our place is packed with sheets of veneer. They are stacked high against the walls, and you have to be careful when walking through so you don't trip over a corner. The lighting isn't the best, so we often have to take pieces out to the front door to see the grain properly in the sunlight. It’s a dusty job, and by the end of the day, everyone has a layer of fine sawdust on their clothes. We have an old wooden desk where we keep the ledger and take payments. There aren't any fancy displays; customers just come in and look through the stacks until they find a pattern they like. We’ve been in this bazar for many years, and we know all the other shop owners on the block. It’s a busy, cramped environment where work starts early and doesn't really stop until the sun goes down. We don't use much in the way of modern office stuff. It is mostly just pencils, rulers, and a lot of physical labor moving the wood around.
