We’ve been at Samuel Street for quite a while now, tucked away in No. 103 of Oriental House. It’s one of those busy buildings where there is always something going on in the hallways. Our spot is at No. 229/ 239, and it’s not exactly a fancy place to look at. Inside Gandhi Chemicals, things are usually a bit piled up. We have stacks of papers, some old files, and all the stuff we need for our daily work. It’s mostly just a few of us here. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop by. The street outside is noisy from morning until night. You can hear the carts and the people shouting all the time. We don’t have a big lobby or a person at a front desk. You just walk in and someone will talk to you. Sometimes the tea guy comes around and we take a break. It’s just how it is. We’ve been doing this for years, so we know the routine. It’s not about being the biggest office on the block. We just handle our business and go home. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it. It’s a practical place for practical people. We just keep moving. It is nothing fancy, just a chemical business running out of a room.
