Dots & Stripes

Down in the Opera House area, you'll find us at 102 Queens Diamonds Apartments. Dots & Stripes is located in Apartment No. 3 on M. P. Marg. If you know Mumbai, you know how hectic the traffic can get around here. The building is one of those older ones with a lot of character and thick walls. We’ve been operating out of this space for some time. It’s not a huge showroom, just a functional office where we handle all our orders. The hallways are a bit narrow and you can usually hear the sound of the street from the balcony. We’ve got stacks of files and boxes of samples taking up most of the shelf space. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we’re all in the office at once. The air conditioner is usually running constantly to keep the humidity away from the paper and fabrics. We drink a lot of cutting chai from the stall downstairs. It’s a busy atmosphere because of the diamond district nearby, so there’s always people moving around the building. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist, you just come in and find us at our desks. It’s a very practical way of working. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking the latest arrivals. It’s just the reality of doing business in a crowded, energetic city like this. Every day is a bit of a scramble, but it works.
