Om Sai Telecom

Om Sai Telecom is our little shop located at Ratan Pole in Kandivali. We spend all day dealing with mobile phones. We fix screens, change out old batteries, and help people with their recharges. It is a small place, so it feels very crowded even if only two or three customers are inside. Ratan Pole is a noisy area, but that is just how it is around here. Our shelves are packed with phone covers, cables, and chargers. Most of the time, I am hunched over a desk looking at a tiny circuit board through a glass. It is very finicky work and can be hard on the eyes. People usually come in looking a bit stressed because they dropped their phone or it stopped charging suddenly. We try our best to see if it can be fixed. If it is broken beyond help, we just tell them straight. There is no point in giving someone false hope about a dead motherboard. We stay open until late in the evening because that is when most people are heading home from work and realize they need a repair. It is just me and a couple of other guys working here. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. The fan in the corner makes a loud rattling sound, but we don't even notice it anymore. Kandivali is a good spot for us because everyone has a phone these days.
