Om Sai Octroi

We operate out of the Mehta Building at 260 Masjid Bunder West. If you know anything about Masjid Bunder, you know it is one of the most crowded and hectic places in the whole city. The building is old, and the stairs are narrow, but it has a lot of history to it. We deal with octroi and related paperwork, which most people find very boring and confusing. It is a lot of back-and-forth with documents and sitting at desks for long hours. Our office isn't anything special to look at. There are piles of files everywhere and a few old wooden desks that have seen better days. But we know exactly where every single piece of paper is kept. The 400003 area is always buzzing with traders and transporters, so there is never a quiet moment during the day. We usually have tea delivered from the stall downstairs a few times a day just to keep going. We aren't a big company with a HR department or anything like that. It’s just a handful of us who have been working together for years. We know the ins and outs of the local regulations and how things move through the system. It’s a tough environment with all the heat and the crowds, but we’ve managed to stay here and keep the business running through all the changes in the city. We just do the paperwork and keep things moving.
