Om Auto Parts

Over in Bhandup West, near Vijay Park, you will find our shop. We are Om Auto Parts. We have been at this specific location for a good number of years now. The shop itself is not very wide, but it goes back quite deep into the building. We have wooden shelves reaching all the way up to the ceiling, and they are packed with boxes of all shapes and sizes. Most of our work involves finding the right part for customers who are usually in a bit of a hurry. It might be a small spark plug or a heavy bumper. We have a tall ladder that we have to use many times a day to get to the items on the top rows. It is a bit wobbly, so we have to be careful when climbing it. My cousin helps me out most days of the week. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the regulars who stop by to say hello even when they do not need to buy anything. The floor is made of concrete and it shows every bit of dirt, but we try to sweep it at least once a day. It is a basic, honest business. We do not use a computer system to track everything, so we rely a lot on our memories of where things are. It works for us. The neighborhood is mostly families, so we know many of the people who live nearby.
