If you walk down the New Link Road in Bhendi Bazar, you will find us at number 179. The area is always crowded and there is a lot of energy in the air all the time. We have been doing this for a while now and the kitchen is the heart of the whole operation. It is quite a big space back there because we have to handle the catering side of things too. We use those really large metal pots that take two people to carry when they are full of food. The walls in the kitchen have some stains from the steam and the cooking over the years but it shows we are working hard. We write down all the catering orders in a big old ledger book that sits on the front desk. Sometimes the phone rings non-stop when there is a big wedding or a function happening nearby. We are not some high-end place with white tablecloths and quiet waiters. It is noisy and we shout orders across the room to the cooks. The heat from the big burners can be a lot in the summer months but we are used to it by now. We just provide meals to the local people and help out with the events when someone needs a lot of food delivered to their house or a hall.
