Nitin Roadlines

We’ve got our office at Latif House, which is part of the Manubhai Tower area on Station Road. It’s 8 Sant Tukaram Road, right in the middle of the Sayaji Ganj bustle. Roadlines and transport are what we know. It’s a lot of tracking trucks and making sure the drivers are doing okay on the long routes. The office is usually a mess of manifests and delivery receipts. We have some old maps on the wall that are probably out of date now. It’s a loud place because of the station being so close. There’s always someone coming in or out. We’ve been operating from here for a good while. Transport is one of those things where something always goes wrong, like a flat tire or a closed road. We just spend our time fixing those little problems. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We drink a lot of tea to get through the afternoons. The furniture is old and the air conditioner makes a weird clicking sound. We don’t really care about that as long as the trucks are moving. It’s a small group of us here. We know the routes and we know the struggles of the road. We just keep at it, day after day, in this little corner of Sayaji Ganj. Things are never quiet, but we prefer it that way.
