Nirmal Transport

Nirmal Transport operates out of 13/15 Koliwada on Janjikar Street. This is in the heart of Masjid Bunder West, near Princess Street. It is a very old part of the city and the roads are always packed. You have to be careful walking around here because there are handcarts and laborers everywhere. Our office is simple. We have some benches and a main desk where we keep track of all the loads. Transport is a tough business in this area because of the narrow lanes. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to drivers. There is always someone coming in to check on a delivery. The dust from the street comes in through the door, but that is just how it is in Masjid Bunder. Princess Street is right nearby, so there is constant movement of goods. We do not have any fancy decorations on the walls. Mostly it is just calendars and maybe a small shrine. We have been in Koliwada for a long time. People know where Janjikar Street is, so we do not have to explain much. The work starts early and goes on until the shops nearby start closing their shutters. It is a noisy, busy place to be, but we are used to it. We just focus on moving things from one place to another without making a big fuss about it. It is how things have always worked for us here and we keep at it.
