Niranjana Majithia College Of Commerce is right on MG Road in the Bohra Colony area of Kandivali West. We are situated very close to the Union Bank of India, so it is quite easy for people to find us when they are walking down the street. Being in Mumbai, space is always a bit tight, but we make the most of what we have in this building. The hallways are usually packed with students during the break times and you can hear the sound of the traffic outside even when the doors are closed. We have been here for a long time and many of the shopkeepers nearby know us well. The office handles all the admissions and the exam forms, and there is always a stack of files on the desk that someone is working on. It’s a very grounded place. We don’t use a lot of big words or fancy decorations. The focus is just on the commerce classes and getting the students through their semesters. The benches are the old-fashioned kind and the blackboards have seen better days, but they serve the purpose. Our staff lives in various parts of the city and they travel quite a distance to get here every day. It’s a typical Mumbai college where everyone is in a hurry but somehow things get done on time. It feels like a small community inside a very big and noisy city where everyone is just trying to get through the day.
