Nihara Printers

Nihara Printers is located in Gala No 305 inside Cama Estate. This is in Goregaon East, not too far from Rohidas Mandir. The estate is a huge place with many different businesses, and it can be a bit like a maze if you aren't used to it. Our unit is always humming with the sound of the printing machines. It’s a mechanical noise that you eventually stop noticing after a few hours. There is a very specific smell of ink and paper that stays with you even after you go home. We have stacks of paper everywhere, different weights and sizes waiting to be used. Most of our work is for other local businesses that need flyers or cards or basic forms. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s just a working print shop with grease on the floor and ink on our hands. The light in the gala isn’t the best, so we have some extra lamps over the cutting machines. We spend a lot of time adjusting the plates and checking the colors. When the machines are running well, it’s a good feeling. Sometimes they break down, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing them ourselves. It’s honest work, and we’ve been doing it in this same spot for a long time. People from the temple nearby often pass by on their way.
