We are located in the Kandivli Co-Op Industrial Estate in Charkop, Kandivli (W). Our unit for Newtronic Lifecare Equipment Pvt. Ltd. is 108-Abcd. If you know the area, you know it's full of small factories and workshops. It’s a lot of concrete and the sound of machines everywhere. We make equipment for labs and healthcare stuff. It’s mostly stainless steel cabinets and testing chambers. We spend our time welding, polishing, and checking the wiring. The air is always a bit heavy with the smell of metalwork. We have a small office section, but most of the space is taken up by the assembly floor. The technicians are usually hunched over some control panel or other. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out of the estate, so there is always a bit of a wait at the main gate. The rain in Mumbai makes the estate roads pretty muddy, so we spend a lot of time mopping the floor to keep the equipment clean. We don't have a fancy marketing team or anything like that. We just build the things, pack them into wooden crates, and send them off. It’s steady work, and we've been in this same spot for a long time now. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is when everyone actually takes a break. We try to stay organized, but sometimes the parts pile up when we have multiple orders going.
