Newtech Rubber Industries

Newtech Rubber Industries is located in a very busy part of the city. We are at Gala No 301, on the 3rd floor of a building in Masjid Bunder West. It’s right opposite the State Bank of India, which is a good landmark because the streets here are a total maze. Being on the third floor is a bit of a challenge when heavy rolls of rubber arrive. We spend a lot of time waiting for the goods lift or just carrying things up and down the stairs if it’s a small enough load. The area is always crowded with handcarts and people rushing around, so getting anything delivered is a project in itself. Inside the gala, it’s a bit cooler than the street, but not by much. We’ve got our machines set up near the windows to get whatever light we can. It’s an old building, so you can feel the history in the walls and the worn-out floorboards. We don’t have a big sign outside or a lobby. It’s just a workspace where we get the orders done and sent out to the market nearby. Working in Masjid Bunder means you have to be fast and you have to be patient with the chaos outside. We’ve been here for a while, and we’ve learned how to make the most of the limited space we have. It’s a tight-knit community of businesses in this building, and we just keep on going.
