New Neelam Restaurant

New Neelam Restaurant is tucked into Chikhal Apartments over on L.T. Road in Borivali West. Living and working in Mumbai means things are always moving fast, and this corner is no different. The street outside stays noisy until late at night. We've been here for a bit, just a small part of the 400092 area. Most of the people who stop by are just neighbors or people walking home from the station. We open up early and stay till we’re done. The building itself is older, one of those standard residential blocks with shops on the bottom. It gets a bit cramped when it rains, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest place on L.T. Road, just a steady one. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or the lights flicker, but we just fix it and keep going. It’s a bit of a walk from the main highway, which makes it a little quieter than the very center of Borivali, but not by much. We know the other shop owners around here pretty well. It’s just us doing our thing every day, making sure the shutters are up on time. No big marketing plans or anything like that, just serving the folks who live in the apartments and the people passing through. It's a simple life in a busy city. The apartment block has its own rhythms and we’ve become a part of that over the years we have been here.
