New Mumba Janta Transport Service

The office is over at A-11 Masjid, right near the Mogal Palace Hotel. If you know that area, you know how it gets. New Mumba Janta Transport Service is what it says on the door. We handle a lot of different moving jobs from this little spot. Being near the hotel means there are always taxis and people around. The masjid is a good landmark for people trying to find us. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze for some of the bigger trucks sometimes. We just make it work though. The days start early here because transport doesn't really wait for anyone. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for drivers to check in. It’s a basic setup with some desks and a lot of logbooks. Nothing is computerized in a fancy way, we just write things down and keep track of the routes. The noise from the street is something you get used to after a week. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes the road a mess, but we still have to move the goods. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit, but the hotel and the masjid stay the same. It’s a reliable place to be based. We don’t do anything flashy, just transport. Most of our regulars are local folks who know the address. You can usually find one of us sitting out front when it’s not too hot.
