Our workshop is tucked away on Sarang Street, right near Crawford Market. If you find the lane by Hotel Sadanand, you’ve basically found us. Being at number 30 keeps us right in the middle of all the market noise. It’s a crowded area, so we’re used to the sound of carts and people shouting all day. We work mostly with brass. There’s always that metallic smell in the air and a bit of dust on the shelves. We’ve been making these items for a long time. It’s a craft we learned from the older generation. The space isn't huge, so we have to be careful where we step. Every corner is filled with tools or finished pieces waiting to be picked up. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back window, but we just put a bucket there. It’s not a corporate office by any means. It’s a place where work actually happens with your hands. We have a few steady customers who have been coming to Sarang Street for years. They know how the brass we use holds up. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures. If someone wants to see what we make, they just come by the shop. We talk about the specs and the prices right there over the counter. It’s straightforward. We keep the shutters up from morning until late evening most days of the week. It keeps us busy.
