National Solvents Chemicals Industries

National Solvents Chemicals Industries is located over in Masjid Bunder West. We are on the 4th floor of the Mukti building on Old Mundhwa Road, Plot 13. It is a very industrial part of town, so there are always handcarts and lorries blocking the way. Being on the 4th floor means we spend a lot of time waiting for the lift, which is old and rattles a bit. Our office is full of files and sample bottles of various chemicals. It smells like a laboratory most days, which you get used to after about a week. We deal with a lot of different factories and workshops across the city. Most of our work is done over the phone or through handwritten notes. We aren't big on technology here; we still use an old landline that rings way too loud in the quiet hours. The staff has been here for years, and we all know how the system works. It gets very hot in the afternoons, and the fans just move the warm air around. We usually send one of the boys down to get snacks for the whole floor around 4 PM. It is hard work dealing with the logistics of moving solvents through these narrow streets. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up, but we catch up eventually. We just focus on getting the barrels to where they need to go without too much trouble from the authorities or the traffic.
