Chemolene (India)

Our place is at 283 Samuel Street, right in Devkaran Niwas at number 26. We are up on the 3rd floor in the Vadgadi area. If you’ve ever been to Vadgadi, you know it’s the heart of the chemical and spice trade. The streets are narrow and always packed with handcarts and laborers carrying heavy sacks. It’s a noisy, energetic place to be. Chemolene (India) has been part of this neighborhood for years. Our office is tucked away in this old building, and it feels like history is in the walls. We don't have air conditioning in every room, so we leave the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through. You can always hear the shouting from the street below. We deal in chemicals, and our day is mostly spent talking to traders and checking on stock. It’s a hands-on kind of business. We don't use any fancy software for everything; a lot of things are still written down in big books. The tea man comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break. It’s not a corporate headquarters by any means. It’s just a busy office where people work hard and know their trade. We’ve seen many businesses come and go in Vadgadi, but we’re still here, doing the same work we’ve always done. It’s a bit messy and loud, but it’s our home.
