We have been at the Interlink Industrial Estate for a long time now. It is unit number 22. If you know Caves Road in Jogeshwari East, you know how busy it gets during the day with all the trucks coming in and out of the gates. It is not a fancy place at all. There is usually a lot of dust from the construction nearby and the traffic on the main road is always a bit of a headache, but this is where we work. We spend most of our hours here making flasks and keeping track of the inventory. It gets really hot in the summer months, especially inside the factory unit, so we keep the old fans running all day long. The staff usually brings lunch from home in their own tiffins and we eat together in the small back room. Sometimes someone brings sweets if it is a birthday or a festival. We do not really do big meetings or anything like that. We just look at the orders for the day and get to it. Some of our customers have been coming to us for years and they know exactly where to find us in the estate. You just have to navigate through the narrow lanes and avoid the parked tempos. Sometimes the rain gets heavy and leaks a bit near the loading door, but we manage. It is just how things are here. We are usually here from early morning until late evening, just keeping the machines going.
