National Dye Chem Industries

We have been here in Andheri at A 22 for a long time now. National Dye Chem Industries isn't a fancy place, just a regular unit where we handle different dyes and chemicals every day. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but that is just part of the work. Most of the people around here know us because we've been on this street for years. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow lane, and we have to go out and talk to the drivers to move them. It’s a busy spot. My father started this, and now I handle the daily stuff with a couple of guys who have stayed with us through everything. We don't have a big office with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just benches, some old desks, and the smell of the stuff we mix. People come in asking for specific colors, and we see what we can do for them. It’s not like those big corporate places you see on TV. We just do the work, lock up in the evening, and come back the next morning. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to get through. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break. It's just a normal business in a crowded part of town. Nothing more to it, really. We try to keep things organized but it gets messy when we are busy. That is just how life is here.
