Lafarge India Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai

We are located in the Bakhtawar building on the 14th floor, right in Nariman Point. It is a very different vibe from a factory floor, being up here in one of Mumbai’s main business districts. Even though we are in a high-rise, the work at Lafarge India is still fundamentally about cement and construction. We spend our time looking at spreadsheets, talking to the guys at the plants, and coordinating with different sites across the region. The view from the 14th floor is nice, but most of us are too busy with emails and phone calls to look out the window much. It is a professional environment, but we try to keep it grounded. We aren't fans of long, pointless meetings; we just want to get the logistics sorted so the cement gets to where it is going. The elevators can be a bit slow during the lunch rush, so we usually just grab something quick nearby. It is a lot of coordinating between different departments. We don't put on airs here. We are just a bunch of people trying to keep a huge operation running smoothly from a busy office in South Mumbai. It gets stressful when there is a big project deadline, but we pull through. We have been at this 229 Nariman Point address for a while now, and it is just where we do our daily work.
