Narendra Padamshi Meisheri

Our office is located at Office No 202 in Building No 265, right here in the Masjid area. It is very close to Arihant Cooperative Bank, which is where most people look when they are trying to find the building. The neighborhood is always packed with people and carts moving goods back and forth. It is a very old part of the city and the energy is constant. Inside the office, things are much quieter. We have a lot of cupboards filled with old files and papers that have built up over the years. Narendra Padamshi Meisheri is the name on the plate outside the door. We spend our days mostly handling paperwork and talking to people who come in for business. The windows look out over the street, but there is so much dust and noise that we usually keep them shut. The lift in the building is quite small and sometimes it's faster to just walk up the two flights of stairs. We have a ceiling fan that hums all day long while we work. It's a very basic setup with wooden desks and a few plastic chairs for anyone waiting. We don't have fancy decorations or modern art on the walls. It is just a place where work gets done. Most of our neighbors are also doing similar trade or office work. We start early and leave once the day’s tasks are finished. Sometimes the tea boy from downstairs brings us a round of cutting chai in the afternoon.
