You can find us in the middle of all the noise in Zaveri Bazar. We are up on the first floor of the building at 276A/278. If you have been to this part of Mumbai, you know how crowded the lanes get. It is always a squeeze getting through the crowds, but once you get upstairs to our place, it’s a bit more manageable. We have been working with jewels here for a long time. It is not like those big malls. It’s a lot of old-fashioned work. We spend our hours checking stones and making sure the settings are tight. My desk is usually covered in papers and small tools. It is not always organized, but I know where everything is. The tea seller comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a short break. The light in the office is okay, but we use those desk lamps to see the fine details in the jewelry. It gets humid in Mumbai, so the windows stay shut and the old AC unit hums in the corner. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. People find us because they know the address or someone told them about us. It is just steady work, day in and day out. We try to be fair and just do what needs to be done. That’s how life is here in the bazar. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders.
