Narayana Multi Speciality Hospital is right here on KK Road, specifically at No. 1 A. If you know Mahalakshmi, you know exactly where we are. The traffic outside can get pretty backed up during rush hour, which makes getting into the driveway a bit of a challenge some mornings. I work here, and most of my day is spent answering the same questions or pointing people toward the elevators. It’s a multi-specialty place, so we see all kinds of things. One minute it’s someone with a broken arm, and the next it’s something way more complicated. The building has been here for a bit, so it has that lived-in feel. It’s not one of those shiny glass buildings you see in the movies. It’s a real place where people are working hard. We try to keep things organized, but on Mondays, it’s always a bit of a scramble. The tea stall right outside the gate is where most of us head when we finally get a break. It's just a regular hospital doing its thing on KK Road. We don't have many quiet moments. Sometimes the lobby gets crowded and people start getting impatient, but that’s just how it goes in a place like this. We just keep moving from one patient to the next until the sun goes down and the night shift takes over.
