Nantech Plastic Industries is based in Jyoti Sadan on 28th Road in Bandra West. Being in Bandra is great, but 28th Road is always packed with cars and people walking, so it can be quite hectic. Our unit is on the ground floor, which makes it easier for moving the plastic stock around. It often smells a bit like warm plastic in here because of the materials we handle. Jyoti Sadan is an old building, so it has a lot of character, though the plumbing can be a bit temperamental sometimes. We have a small office space carved out with some glass partitions, but the main area is where the actual work happens. There are stacks of plastic sheets and molded parts piled up against the walls. It is a bit of a maze sometimes when we get a large shipment in. We don't have any fancy decorations, just a few calendars on the walls and a clock that is always five minutes fast. Most of the staff have been here a long time, so we all know the routine perfectly. We spend our mornings responding to messages and our afternoons checking the inventory levels. The noise from the street never really stops, but you stop noticing it after the first hour. It is a practical, hardworking atmosphere where we just focus on getting the plastic orders sorted and out the door on time.
