Nandini Construction

Nandini Construction is based out of Andheri West, right at number 5. It’s a busy area and our office is usually full of maps, site plans, and dusty boots. Being in the construction line means we don't spend much time sitting still. Most of the day is spent talking to laborers, checking on cement deliveries, or trying to figure out why a truck is stuck in traffic. Andheri is always under some kind of renovation, so there is never a dull moment. We deal with a lot of different people, from suppliers to guys who just want a small repair done. It can get stressful when the rain starts because everything slows down on a building site. We just have to work around it and keep things moving as much as we can. Our phones never really stop ringing. People want to know when their walls will be finished or why the tiles haven't arrived. We just give them a straight answer even if it isn't what they want to hear. There is no point in making things sound better than they are. At the end of the day, we are usually covered in a bit of grit and tired from standing on our feet. We close up the office late and head home, only to do it all again the next morning. It is a basic living but it keeps us busy and connected to the neighborhood.
