Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital

The hospital on S.V. Road in Vile Parle West is a busy spot. It’s called Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital, and we have a lot of different departments all under one roof. I work near the main entrance where I see everyone coming in. It’s a mix of patients coming for heart stuff, kidney stuff, or just general surgery. The machines we have are pretty advanced, but they still make those beeping noises that you eventually stop hearing after a few hours. Vile Parle West is a nice area, but the traffic on S.V. Road is a nightmare most afternoons. We have a lot of doctors coming and going in their cars. The waiting rooms are usually full, and we try to keep the magazines tidy, but they always end up in a mess. It’s a big responsibility, I guess, but we don't think about it like that. We just focus on the next person in line. Sometimes I help the older folks get to the elevators because the building is quite big and can be confusing. The cafeteria food is actually not bad, especially the poha in the morning. We work long shifts and sometimes stay late if there’s a lot going on. It’s just how it goes in a big hospital like this. We keep the floors clean and the lights on, and we do our best for everyone who walks in through the doors.
