Nanavati Hospital

We are located on SV Road in Vile Parle West. This Nanavati Hospital has been a landmark in this part of Mumbai for quite a long time. SV Road is always moving, so there is never a dull moment outside our doors. The building has a lot of history to it. You can see it in the way the hallways are laid out and the style of the windows. It’s a big place, so new staff sometimes get lost in the first week. We have different departments for just about everything. Most of the people working here have been around for years, so it feels like a big, slightly stressed family. We don’t use any of those fancy slogans. It is just a hospital where people come when they need help. The waiting areas can get quite full, especially in the middle of the day. You’ll see people sitting with their families, waiting for news or just their turn. The smell of disinfectant is pretty strong, which is what you’d expect. We spend a lot of time on our feet. The elevators are always busy, going up and down between the floors. Vile Parle West is a busy neighborhood, and we are right in the thick of it. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we just take it one day at a time, making sure the beds are ready and the lights stay on. It's just a regular part of life for us here on SV Road.
