Nair Hospital

Our hospital is located in the Bombay Centre area. It’s one of those places that has become a staple of the local scenery over the years. When you walk in, you aren't greeted by a shiny reception desk; instead, you find a lot of hard-working people trying to figure out where they need to go. It’s a bit of an older setup, which gives it a lived-in feel. The rooms and hallways are simple. We don't have many decorations on the walls. Most of us here are focused on the patients who come in. Because we are in such a central spot, the noise from the street is always there in the background. You get used to the horns and the general hum of the city. We have different wards for different needs, and the layout can be a bit like a maze if you aren't careful. It’s not a place for luxury, it’s a place for getting better. Families often stay close by while their relatives are being looked after. We see a mix of everyone from the local neighborhood and further out. It’s a lot of work keeping a place like this running day and night, but the staff here just gets on with it. It’s a practical environment. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just open the doors every morning and take care of the people who show up, making sure everyone gets some help. It is just a normal part of the Bombay Centre landscape.
