N N DyeChem is our small business located in Masjid Bunder West. We are over at CP Tank, specifically at 296, on the 1st Floor in Room No 21/B. It’s a busy commercial building with a lot of stairs and narrow hallways. We’ve been working out of this room for many years. We mainly deal with dyes and various chemicals used in textiles. The room is often filled with the smell of different powders and liquids. It’s not a place for everyone, but we’re used to it. Masjid Bunder is the heart of wholesale trading, so it’s the right place for us to be. We have customers from all over the city who come to pick up supplies. Most of them have been doing business with us for a long time. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. It’s just a workspace with some desks and a lot of stock. My partner and I handle most of the work ourselves. We don't really use much technology beyond a basic phone and a calculator. It’s how we’ve always done it. Sometimes the building gets very hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going and get on with the work. We aren't looking to expand into some giant company. We just want to keep things running smoothly and take care of our regular clients. That is why we stay here in Masjid Bunder every day and work.
