My Idea Store

My Idea Store is located at the 5th Cross in the Bilekahalli Layout area of Kandivali West. It is a small corner shop where we mostly deal with sim cards and mobile recharges for the people living nearby. The layout of the store is a bit tight because we have several desks for customers to sit at while we fill out their paperwork. There are posters for different mobile plans all over the walls and some of them are getting a bit old and peeling. We don't have a big team of people in uniforms. It is usually just me and one other guy trying to handle the queue when it gets busy in the evenings. Most of the work is just typing into the computer and waiting for the network to activate something. Sometimes the printer jams right when a customer is in a hurry and we have to open it up and pull out the stuck paper while everyone waits. It is not a very glamorous job but it is useful for the neighborhood. We see a lot of the same faces every month when it is time to pay bills. The shop is simple and we don't have any flashy lights or music playing. We just focus on getting the phone lines working and making sure everyone has their documents in order before they leave.
