Murti Flour Mill

Our mill is located on Kamraj Nagar Road in the Ghatkopar East area. If you have ever spent time in this part of Mumbai, you know how crowded and busy the streets can get. The mill itself is a small and very active spot. The sound of the heavy grinding stones is constant from the moment we open. We have people coming in all morning long carrying their own bags of wheat or grain. It involves a lot of heavy lifting and moving around in a tight space. The air inside the mill is always thick with the smell of fresh flour. It feels like a bit of a workout just being here for a few hours. We have been serving the people in this neighborhood for many years now. It is definitely not a fancy or modern operation. We just have a few reliable machines and a lot of hard work to do. We keep the front doors wide open to let some air in, but it still gets very warm inside. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to chat for a minute while their grain is being ground. We know the daily rhythms of this street quite well. When the local trains go by nearby, you can almost feel the whole building vibrate. We don't have a big corporate logo or any fancy signs. Just the name written on the wall. We try to be fair with everyone. It is a simple and honest life for us. We just keep the wheels turning.
