Mumbai Hospital Chemist

Our shop is tucked away inside Kakad Arcade, right at unit number 29. Being so close to New Marine Line, we stay on our feet for most of the day. We have been at this specific location for a long time, selling medicines to whoever happens to walk in. Mostly, it is people coming from the hospital nearby who stop by to fill their prescriptions. It is a pretty small shop, but we try our best to keep the shelves stocked with the usual things people are looking for. Dealing with the doctors' handwriting and making sure all the dosages are correct takes up most of our time. It is not exactly a glamorous job, but it is important for the people living and working here. We get the morning rush when the clinics first open and then another big one later in the evening. Sometimes we do not have a specific brand in stock right away, but we can usually get it ordered for the next day. The New Marine Line area is always moving fast, and we are just one small part of that. We are not a big chain pharmacy with bright lights and matching uniforms. We are just a local chemist. It gets quite hot in the arcade during the summer, but we have a fan going behind the counter. We talk to the regulars about their families and how they are feeling lately. It is just a normal pharmacy where we try to be useful. We keep our records on the computer now, which helps with the clutter.
