Mudgil Packers & Movers

Our main spot is in the Central Facility Building, number 453, over in the APMC Masjid Bunder West area. It is a very busy part of town with trucks coming in and out at all hours of the day and night. We spend most of our time surrounded by rolls of bubble wrap, brown tape, and stacks of corrugated boxes. The floor is usually covered in bits of packing material and dust from the wooden crates. It is physical work, lifting heavy things and making sure everything is wrapped tight so it doesn't break during the haul. My back usually aches a bit by the time we finish loading a big truck. We have a small desk where we keep the logs and the schedules, but most of the action happens out on the floor or in the back of a van. Mudgil Packers & Movers is basically just a group of us working through the logistics of moving stuff from one place to another. The air smells like cardboard and exhaust fumes from the loading dock nearby. We have to be careful with the tape dispensers because those metal edges are really sharp. Sometimes the heat in the warehouse gets to be a lot, so we drink a lot of water and take short breaks when the trucks are stuck in traffic. It isn’t a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy.
