We are located in Ruby House, which is on JK Sawant Marg in Dadar West. Being in Dadar means it’s always crowded and there’s a lot of noise from the street below. Our office is just one of many in this building. It’s a media-related place, so there are always papers everywhere and people talking on phones. We don’t have a fancy reception area with marble floors. It’s more about rows of desks and people staring at screens. The elevator in Ruby House is often slow, so we spend a lot of time waiting or just taking the stairs if we’re in a hurry. We’ve been here long enough that the local vendors know us. We don’t really do the whole corporate culture thing. It’s more about getting the work out and meeting the next deadline. Sometimes it’s chaotic, especially when big news is breaking or we have a lot of files to move around. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have a lot of work to do and not always enough hours in the day to do it. The tea from the canteen is okay, but we usually go out for a proper cutting chai when we can. It’s just a busy office in a busy part of Mumbai, and we’re just people trying to keep up with the pace of the city. We don't worry much about how the office looks as long as the work gets finished.
