Ms Sweety Dhowan

My place is right here on the ground floor of the Sadha building in Dadar West. It’s tucked into Kucha Number 11, which can be a bit tricky to find if you aren’t from around here. Being in Flat Number 1 means I’m always close to the street, so I hear everything that goes on outside. It’s a small space, but I’ve arranged it so I can get my work done without too much trouble. Dadar is a place where something is always happening, and this lane is no different. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to say hello or ask for a bit of help with something. I’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time now. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear the television from next door or the dogs barking in the alley. It’s not a big corporate office, just a simple room where I handle my business. I spend a lot of time at my desk, looking out the window at the people passing by. The floor is a bit uneven in the corner, but it’s home. People know they can find me here most days. It’s a quiet life in a loud city, and I like the balance of it. I don’t need much, just enough space to do what I do and stay close to the heart of Dadar West. It stays quite dusty because of the road, but that is Dadar for you. There is always a lot of laundry hanging nearby and children shouting.
