If you’re looking for us, we are in the PMGP Colony in Mankhurd, Mumbai. Our office is in Room 1028 of Building 31, care of Prakash P. Talap. It’s a bit of a maze in this colony if you aren't familiar with it, but once you find Building 31, it’s easy enough. We are a consulting group, which sounds fancy, but really it just means we spend a lot of time looking at drawings and calculating numbers. The office is small and usually smells like old paper and ink. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a coffee machine that makes lattes. We just have a kettle and some biscuits. Mankhurd is a busy place, and the sounds of the neighborhood always filter through the windows. It keeps us feeling connected to what’s happening outside. Most of us have been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to understand what needs to be done. We handle a lot of engineering designs and structural plans. It’s quiet work for the most part, punctuated by the occasional argument over a measurement or a deadline. We aren't interested in being the most famous consultants in the city. We just want to do a solid job so that the buildings and bridges we work on stay standing. It’s honest, difficult work, and we’re proud to do it from this little room.
