Our place, Mott Macdonald Pvt Ltd, is located at 206 Pooja Enclave on the Old Cst Road in Kalina. Being in Santacruz, Mumbai, means we are right in the thick of things. The office is a decent space where we manage our various projects. It isn't a high-end corporate suite, just a practical office that serves its purpose. We have been here for a while and the staff knows the neighborhood well. We don't go for those polished speeches about excellence and all that. We just do the work that is assigned to us. Most of us take the train or drive through the Mumbai traffic to get here every morning. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy. We handle engineering and consultancy, which sounds complicated but we just take it step by step. We talk to each other like regular people, not like robots. If someone makes a mistake, we sit down and figure it out together. There's no fancy hierarchy that stops us from talking to each other. We just want to finish our tasks and make sure everything is solid. It's a simple way of doing business but it works for us. We're just a bunch of people working in Kalina trying to do a good job. We don't need any big words to describe what happens here. We just come in and do what needs doing. It is about getting through the day and making sure the projects stay on track for everyone.
